An Interview with Winter Layne by Glenda Miskin
Q. What is your favorite color?
A. I don't have one single favorite,.....I would have to say black and deep purple.
Q. What is your favorite fruit or your favorite food?
A. My favorite fruit would be grapes. My favorite food is definitely Veal Scaloppini Marsala. Mmmm Yummy !!!
Q. What is your favorite type of bathing suit?
A. Well, if I have to wear one.... LOL... it would probably be a nice tight thong bikini!
Q. What do you look for in a man?
A. I want someone to be himself with me, to not be intimidated by my career, and to be open minded. I prefer my men to be intelligent, tactful, and have a great sense of humor. That goes a long way with me.
Q. What do you do when you are at home, alone?
A. I play with my three dogs, or I jump on my computer. I like to keep busy.
Q. Your mother was a student at UND, wasn't she?
A. Yes, she was. She is 100% Norwegian and was raised in Minot, North Dakota. She graduated from UND with a degree in English. She met my father at UND when he was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Base.
Q. Did you attend a college?
A. Well, I started out at OCC in Costa Mesa, Ca., with the intent on transferring to a University. But I found that my career was demanding more of my time so I had to put my education on hold for a bit.
Q. Would you have chosen UND?
A. I would have to say no. Besides the obvious geographical problems I would have with my career, I would also have a HUGE problem with the amount of sexual harassment/ rape problems that UND has come to be known for. I don't think any self-respecting female should put herself in that position. UND is not the same place it was when my mother went there. Or maybe it was just hidden better then. Who knows?
Q. What is your opinion about the precedent that the Wagner v. Miskin case has set in North Dakota?
A. I feel that this a grave injustice. I can't believe that the state of North Dakota and its legal system chooses to protect the "reputations" of child molesters and rapists! This is tragic, people! By allowing anyone accused of child abuse to sue the witness for libel, you are silencing the witnesses and in essence enabling the offender! Who is going to want to come forward and speak up about a crime, if you allow the perpetrator the right to take legal action against them? That is just insanity.
The brave witness that came forward should be rewarded, not punished! How can they even justify such an asinine thing? It makes me furious with our legal system. Who's going to protect our kids? If people are afraid to speak up, there is no hope for their safety........
Q. Winter, what is your attitude towards sex?
A. I am a firm believer in "Consenting Adults". This means simply, that people with a sound mind and of legal age, should be able to do with each other, ( or for each other! ), anything they want. As long as ALL parties included are COMPLETELY consenting to the act. Oh, and I definitely advocate using protection. I do have to say that I think the most important part of the whole thing is communication with you partner/ partners.
Q. What parts of the Adult Entertainment industry have you worked in?
A. Well, I was a stripper for about 71/2 yrs, a model (magazines, adult oriented advertising, etc.), a runway model for a fetish clothing company, I made several adult movies, and I am now working as a supervisor in the adult oriented telephone industry. I loved all of it, and I would do it all again, gladly.
Q. Which would you say was your favorite?
A. Definitely the dancing. It was great exercise, and I miss performing on stage. But they all had their finer moments.
Q. What is it like to be a "Porn Star"?
A. Well,.....I would call myself a Porn Actress, LOL, or a Starlet,...but it was A LOT of fun. I had wanted to do it, long before I actually got into the movies. I have always been a very sexual person, and I love to put on a good show. I guess I'm a bit of an exhibitionist. During my career as a Porn Starlet, I had the opportunity to meet and work with some really interesting and sexy people. It was a real eye opener to a lot of things in my life.
Q. Do you prefer to shoot scenes with women or men?
A. I enjoyed shooting with both. I think that women are so incredibly beautiful, and I love the female body. I also enjoyed the men. I am definitely Bi-sexual.
Q. Do people/ men treat you differently when they find out about your movie career?
A. A lot of men find my body and alternative career choice fascinating.! Many people women and men alike, are truly interested in what it was like although some people are intimidated by it, ( sexually , that is,) I just try to be as up front about it as I can be. Hey, this is who I am, this is what I've done, and I have opened many doors of opportunity with my resume!!
