Dear Dr. Ettling:

I received the certified letter that you sent me and I understand that you are unable to override the decision made by the Student Affairs office. I was attempting to accrue all of the necessary credits needed
to so I can graduate by August 28.  Although it will be hard, I believe I can do it.

However, this issue has now gone to another level. Dr. John Wagner has served me with a personal injury lawsuit in which he demands more than $50,000 for emotional distress he has suffered in relation to the hearing he initiated.

I was on my way out of housing and ready to move on, but now I must stay and defend myself. In the process of defending myself, I will have to talk about some issues
that happened to me at UND which may not make the University nor Dr.Wagner appear favorable to the public and to those participating in the hearing process.

As this creates an even bigger mess, I thought that you could perhaps help work out some type of amicable agreement between Wagner and me.
As I see it, there can be little good gained by either party by this new lawsuit.  This hearing will not make John Wagner's public view more pretty. In fact like Oscar Wilde, perhaps he may suffer further by
continuing to stir a pot of justice which has already been served.

I have sent no copies of this letter to anyone. This letter is not a threat, yet another attempt, hopefully not futile, to resolve this sordid affair before the mess is even worse for both of us. I just want to get my degree and get out John.

 Sincerely>G

UND is not involved in this lawsuit, so I can't do anything.
