This article was posted on our discussion web. We print it as we got it. The implicit point of this article is that medical school is a pretty tough grind. Every school warns it's students that they are not even going to take on a part time job. How then was Blake able to attend medical school and keep a full time job at the same time even receiving tenure? What kind of genius was he, medical or financial? From: A concerned Individual CommentsFor your information . Dr. Blake's graduation from UND med school was probably in spring of 1999 . That suggests an admission to the med school in spring 1995 or earlier . State's budget records show that he was paid from State's approprited funds for fiscal years 1995/1996 and 1996/1997 a respective $ 52,600. ( or up to $ 65,000. to $ 67,000. with fringe benefits ) and $ 59,000. ( or $ 72,000. - $ 75,000. ) . He was admired and given a massive raise of 12% for fiscal 1996/97 while other faculty raises were between 2.5% - 5 % . Furthermore , he garnished from his federal research grant , administered by the U , an additional $ 18,450 , for fiscal year 1997/98 and $ 19,000 for the year 1998/99 ( exluding the fringes ) . P.S. Dr. Blake held academic an appointment while he was a medical student , was even promoted to an Associate Professor and received Tenure too while being admitted to the medical school as a full time student for these four years . I guess you need a genious or a Moron , which ever the case may be , to explain these things . This man muzzeled from the State and the Federal Governments $ 149,090. or $ 186,000. with fringes over four years while he was a medical student under the blessing and the supervision of UND . This provided him with a yearly income of about $ 46,600. for each year he was a student which is not refundable ; compared to the majority of us who took students loans that we have to pay back . This is Ducky and quacks help help and fraud fraud to the state legislators and Federal auditors alike!
