NORTH DAKOTA RANKS 49TH IN FACULTY SALARIES 

University faculty members in North Dakota rank 49th out of 50 in faculty pay.

Average salary for all faculty members at public universities in North Dakota was $41,985 in 1997-98, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education's Almanac issue, a magazine widely read on college campuses. The rankings were published this week.
