CATHOLIC BASHING AT UND

About 5 years ago I made a complaint to the then Chair Daniel Sheridan about my freshman english teacher Mr. Dale Jacobson. Jacobson announced to our class that Catholics were all stupid idiots to follow a Pope. As a good Catholic from many generations of Catholics I took great offense to this and told this to Dr. Sheridan, but nothing was done about it.

This is my only response to allegations posted on this site against me. First, I harbor no ill feelings or beliefs against any religion or relligious person and have never made such a comment. Secondly, contrary to Glenda Mishkin's statement, I had not recently quit drinking when I had her as a student. If I did have any predilections toward rubber-band snapping, which I didn't and don't, I can hardly see that as a great character flaw. Anyone interested in learning my true thoughts on issues that concern me can read my books, which can be located at the library or through any bookstore.

I quite agree with lecturer Dale Jacobson's statements that snapping a rubber band around his wrist to distract himself from cravings for alcoholic drinks while in the classroom is not the worst thing in the world. But, the freshman students are entitled to academic civility and an atmosphere free of instructional irritability, however rationalized.

BAD ENGLISH AND BAD LOGIC OF UND ENGLISH COMP INSTRUCTOR/POET DALE JACOBSON.

1. Religious is misspelled;

2 what is the object of the word "which" in his little discourse? Obviously there is an error of broad reference;

3. The word "rubber-band" should not be hyphenated;

4. The name of the subject "Miskin" has been misspelled;

5. There is a possible negative pregnant: the implication of "I had not recently quit drinking when I had her as a student" could easily mean that he was still drinking!
